Duties & Responsibilities:

Duties will include:

This position requires someone who has experience analyzing data sets or data results (e.g. profiling results, results reporting) to draw inferences and identify adherence, or lack thereof, to business requirements.
The user should have the ability to write complex data rules and rule sets in Information Analyzer using SQL or regular expression.
A general knowledge of Financial products and concepts is needed to interact with end business users.
Needs to be able to interface with end business users to:
Educate them on how the profiling was done on the data and what rules were applied
Articulate data findings in a manner that is understandable to a business team. Also, they will need to work with the business team to confirm or modify requirements and rules based on the findings.
Identify opportunities in processes, system capabilities and delivery methodologies for continuous improvement as applicable
This role will work with the Chief Data Office (CDO) business and function leads to review data analysis results as well as create and/or modify business requirements and rules.


Skill, Experience & General information required:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience delivering Data quality projects within a professional services organization
Demonstrate extensive knowledge of IBM''s Information Analyzer''s architecture, processing and deployment/configuration through the ability to:
a. Create projects, add data sources, write, configure and execute rules/rule sets within Information Analyzer
b. Develop data profiling solutions, run analysis jobs and view results, and create and manage data quality controls using Information Analyzer
c. Perform column analysis, rule analysis, primary key analysis, natural key analysis, foreign-key analysis, and cross-domain analysis
d. Demonstrate knowledge of Information Analyzer administrative tasks such as managing logs, schedules, active sessions and security roles etc.
Provide best practice guidance and support including; data profiling on designated data sets, conduct analysis on results and provide recommendations on rule development, configure and code data quality validation rules in designated tools (SQL and/or IBM InfoAnalyzer), reporting -schedule, review and packaging of results for business
At least 3-5 years of experience in writing rules, configuration and profiling data using IBM Information Analyzer (or equivalent toolset)
Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical

Basic Technical Requirements

Experience with InfoSphere Information Analyzer data quality tool preferred
Ability to conduct analysis on the data using database querying, excel, and other methods
Experience with data quality tools preferred
Ability to write data rules using pseudo code
Familiarity with IBM Information Server, Data Quality and Data Stage components
Experience with UNIX preferred
