Systems Engineer
On behalf of our client, Procom Services is searching for a Systems Engineer for a contract opportunity in Sunnyvale, CA
Please note that this is NOT a software developer/engineer position. The position requires some coding/programming, scripting for debugging customer issues, testing out API's/interfaces and tools if needed.
We are looking for a support resource that can support code (mainly Java, JavaScript, some HTML) for both mobile and web-based apps (mainly Android) and who can do integration work between Android and our client’s proprietary middleware system and APIs. Previous experience with the Android development kit and subsystem is required, ideally with the latest versions. Familiarity with IoT is desired, but not mandatory.
Some travel throughout the US and Japan will be required - candidates with valid passports and no travel restrictions are preferred
Systems Engineer Job Details
Experience Level:
Minimum 5 years of Android systems engineering, technical support, web based application programming, strong debugging and communication skills.
Critical Skills:
Operating System(s):
In depth Android operating system knowledge including file system, APK, familiarity with Microsoft Windows.
Programming Language(s):
Java (preferred), Javascript (required), HTML and web based application programming knowledge.
Protocols, Industry Specifications:
TCP/IP protocol, Bluetooth protocol,
Other Skills:
Strong interpersonal, communication skills, must be an independent self-starter, hands on Android software application debugging skills.
