Job Description

Responsible for end-to-end Android development for consumer-facing retail e-commerce apps in a cross functional agile environment.

Responsibilities
· Mobile development in Retail applications using Native Android SDK
· Working with the product owner to define the work to be performed and the scrum master to help organize the work into sprints
· Work with scrum master on issues that impact velocity
· Mobile guru with experience in native Android development with apps in the store, and are able to roll up your sleeves and architect solutions and write code
· Daily standups with the developers, testers, and product owners to review work performed yesterday and the work to be performed today
· Participate in planning meetings at the beginning of each sprint
· Reviewing pull requests for code to ensure the code is well constructed, fits into the overall architecture, and follows coding standards
· Architecting and writing Android native code
· Training and mentoring less experienced team members
Requirements
· Bachelors degree in engineering, computer science or related field or equivalent education, technical training and experience
· Over 5 years experience in Android native development with 3 or more apps deployed in the Google Play store, with Retail domain expertise
· Experience working in an agile environment
· Expert knowledge of software development tools and methods for Android programming
· Excellent knowledge of design, testing procedures, and configuration
· Excellent knowledge of all phases of applications systems analysis and programming
· Excellent knowledge of current technologies associated with operating environments
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to write clear, understandable logic for maintainable code which meets design specifications
· Ability to test and analyze data
· Ability to create and execute test plans
· Ability to organize multiple tasks for self, and react to shifting priorities without compromising projects
· Ability to identify, resolve and recommend solutions to complex problems
· Aptitude for detail and accuracy
