eDataForce Consulting LLC client has a need for a skilled "Oracle DBA w/ Talend Data Integration"
Responsible for designing and building Oracle RAC systems, administering, maintaining Oracle relational databases and assisting the application development teams in optimizing schema design and SQL statements. This person must also be able to work independently as well as a team member with limited supervision, perform daily administration of database systems to prevent outages and plans for optimized system resource utilization. They will contribute to architectural direction and provide the expertise for design and performance of the database structures, assist with database performance tuning, database capacity issues, replication and other distributed data issues. Support production environment with flexible weekly rotating pager support will also be required.
Technical skills and experience required for this position include:
Qualified candidates will possess at least 5 years as an Oracle DBA in Linux/Solaris/AIX systems most recently building and supporting Oracle 11g/12c databases in RAC environment with ASM.
Experience with Postgres and/or MySQL required
2+ years working with Talend Data Integration…. A MUST
Experience with very large, high transaction rate OLTP systems on Exadata
Knowledge of RHEL/Oracle Linux required.
Performance analysis using ASH / AWR / OEM and Performance tuning & query refactoring
Should have used Physical database modeling using tools such as Embarcadero or TOAD and developing physical database models from logical models.
Knowledge of Oracle RAC with well-organized approach to database administration, performance, backup/recovery and troubleshooting and tuning is required.
Proficiency in RAC builds, standby database, database installation, creation and upgrades and object management is preferred.
Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and manage one''s time
Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback
Knowledge of computer hardware, SAN/NAS and networking
Knowledge of computer software, such as Oracle, SQL, Pl*SQL, Korn Shell script, Perl Script, etc
Experience with database support in IaaS or PaaS preferred.
Experience with Data Guard and Golden Gate or SharePlex software preferred.
Exposure to Hadoop, MongoDB, NoSql and Docker Technologies will be a plus.
Bachelor degree in computer programming or relevant field
