Job Summary:
Job Title: Senior Developer/Java Developer
Location: Detroit, MI
Duration: FTE
Technical expertise:
Strong understanding of Web technology
Expertise in Java 6 and above
Expertise in Web application and Persistence frameworks
Experience with JBoss AS in Linux environments
Knowledge of relational databases, schema design and implementation, JDBC, and SQL
Knowledge of Unix shell scripting
Hands on experience in XML, HTML, XHTML, CSS, JAXP, JAXB, SOAP, Web Services, Messaging Queues
Hands on ability to develop, debug application using Eclipse
Experience in Spring MVC, Spring Security framework, EXT JS, JSP, AJAX, Java Script
Experience in OR framework, JDBC, Hibernate, Spring persistence
Experience in XML parsing technologies and framework
Experience in identifying, troubleshooting, fixing application performance issues
Experience with interfacing via MQ a plus
Job Responsibilities includes:
Production Support:
Provide non-code fix and emergency code fix
Proactive monitoring of the applications, analyze and resolve failed transactions
Provide data fix to resolve production issues
Root cause analysis of issues
24X7 rotating support
Incident reporting and follow up
Support for all releases that include coding and testing (user interface and batch) for the following
Projects, major, and minor enhancements
Non-emergency fixes
Legal, compliance, regulatory and security requirements
Support creation of ad-hoc reports and data extracts
Business initiatives
All deliverables (including offshore) must meet company technology standards and QA performance expectations (including load, capacity and endurance tests)
Support in analysis of new business initiatives
Resolution of technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation
Job scheduling and monitoring
Coordination with infrastructure, architecture, security, and QA
Coordination with 3rd party vendor
Coordinate with off shore teams
Regular meetings with video conferencing for offshore resources with application leads
