Requirement Position Description

eDataForce Consulting LLC client has a need for a skilled Oracle PL/SQL developer to take the lead in coding, optimization and scripting in support of Oracle based database development.
Client will ONLY do face to face interviews please LOCAL consultants are only preferred
*Preference will be given to candidates with airline and/or freight logistics experience *
* Max Rate: US$ 50/hr. Only {*LOCALS ONLY *}

Technical skills and experience required for this position include:

5 years related experience as an Oracle PL/SQL Developer
Experience with UNIX Shell scripting
Effective verbal and written communication skills
The ability to exercise independent judgment with limited direction from a supervisor
Report progress on development at daily stand-ups and escalate issues or slippage in a timely fashion, identifying remedial action to keep the project on track
Keep abreast of industry developments and technologies and coach other team members to improve skills


Preference will be given to candidates with airline and/or freight logistics experience.
The ideal candidate should possess experience that includes:

At least 3-5 years with direct experience in Oracle 11g or above, some development experience in support of SQL Server databases is beneficial
Designing and optimizing SQL to meet specified functional application requirements
Monitoring, analyzing, and tuning SQL to achieve optimum performance
Data analysis - interviewing subject matter experts and documenting requirements
Identify and solve performance bottlenecks in the Oracle database platform, SQL Server experience is beneficial
Take pro-active ownership of support tasks and see them through to completion
Manage source code and version control using Subversion
Create and maintain strong working relationships with other members of the delivery team and the wider technology organization.
Good experience of large-scale data migration projects with multiple data sources and familiar with Extract-Transform-Load patterns and processes
