Position Overview:
Participating in all aspects of product testing, including test plan development, execution and delivery of well-tested solutions with short time to release.
Mentoring other QA engineers technically and assisting them with test planning and estimates.
Leading multiple projects and performing hands on testing independently.

Essential Duties
Reviews bug descriptions, functional requirements, design documents and code with developers to design test criteria and develop test plan
run batch jobs, analyze database and outputs.
Documents work thoroughly and clearly (SCRs, Bugs, Test Plans, and Test Cases
Determines test cycles, phases and conditions; sets up testing environment and equipment. Enforces QA standards for all phases of testing
Performs technical analysis to identify the scope and schedule for upcoming projects and individual work items.
Identifies software capability and reliability by conducting functional, system and performance tests.
Continuously increases StrataWare knowledge to become a Subject Matter Expert throughout application
Performs installation, functional testing, regression testing and support for all phases of the SDLC
Participates in production support by troubleshooting problems and identifying solutions.
Mentors QA resources on assigned projects. Reviews test status and results.
Contributes to QA Process improvement.
Ability to work independently.
Effectively collaborate with team members and others in organization to resolve testing issues.
Independently analyzes issues, recommends software changes and writes detailed bug reports. Creates and maintains ownership of test cases and test results throughout SDLC.
Demonstrates in-depth understanding of SDLC by providing leadership and guidance.
Produces defect reports, status reports, test reports and other reports as required.
Independently provide defect analysis identifying QA root cause and corrective action for missed test coverage.
Recommends Quality Assurance best practices and helps define and champion Quality Assurance standards.
Provides the highest level of customer service to customers, whether these are current or prospective clients of the Company, vendors, staff, business partners or visitors.
Assists and cooperates with co-workers, supervisor and management.
Coordinates with the Offshore QA Team on a daily basis
Candidate will lead QA Analysts onsite and offshore and work collaboratively with multiple internal and external teams to drive testing of Releases and other Projects This position also requires the candidate to be hands on in creating test plans, writing and executing manual/automated test scripts, creating test data, test procedures, and triaging defects.
Demonstrates a dependable work ethic.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the art practices; participating in professional societies.
Performs all duties in accordance with established Company goals.

All QA assignments are completed on schedule.
Independently leads QA projects from inception to release.
Can read project documentation with the requirements to figure out how to test
Documents, troubleshoots and isolates problems encountered during testing. Maintains ownership of an issue until a resolution is identified and provides recommendations for process improvement.
Successfully performs multiple technical projects simultaneously.
Other departments identify you as a Subject Matter Expert on features of the application as well as the QA process.
Recommendations provided to QA associates are precise and accurate.
Consistently demonstrates success.

Position Requirements:
These specifications are general guidelines based upon the minimum ordinarily considered essential to satisfactory performance in this position. Individual skills and abilities may result in some deviation from these guidelines.
To perform effectively in this position, the incumbent is required to have:
6+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
Demonstrated ability to integrate the whole picture through creation of end-to-end test scenarios along with functional, regression, and performance (stress/load) test plans,
Advanced knowledge of software testing principles, methodologies, automated testing and terminology
Advanced proficiency with SQL server and writing SQL queries. Any experience with ETL is a plus.
Ability to quickly assess requirements of a project, set performance goals and assess the scope of a project
Experience in reporting test results to different functional groups, proficient at Excel
Proven ability to deliver products with highest quality and on time.
Strong software troubleshooting and software problem analysis skills
A solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.
Ability to gain the respect of the development teams on the basis of technical knowledge, hands-on style and decision-making ability on technical issues.
Very effective oral, written and presentation skills and the ability to resolve issues in a collaborative effort. This will have a customer facing component for Customer facing acceptance of the solution.
Ability to prioritize, solve complex tasks and recognize and escalate risks without supervision
Good organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple activities with changing priorities simultaneously.
Competency to utilize Company software and proficiency in Microsoft software applications and a willingness to learn new systems as necessary.
Proven track record serving in a leading role in Quality Assurance teams.
Ability to work in a Fast Paced Environment and Interact effectively with different groups and escalate risks on time.
Ability to function as a team player and to be a self-starter.
Experience with developing/ enhancing automation tools is a plus.
Ability to travel and work as needed to meet Company objectives.
College Degree is required. Typically these skills result from an undergraduate degree in computer science or related subject.
