* 3 – 6 months contract with possibility of Temp-to-Perm conversion *

Summary:
The Mobile UX Designer is a key member of the User Experience Design team, responsible for applying design thinking and user-centered methodologies to deliver an end-to-end connected user experience that meets user needs and solves user problems, in line with business goals.
The UX Designer is primarily focused on exploring different approaches to solving user problems, communicating user scenarios, designing how Client mobile (iOS and Android) products feel, how information is organized (information architecture and navigation), and ensures logical flows from one step to the next.

Responsibilities:
Rapidly iterate and prototype semi-functional mobile designs based on user research, acknowledging technical feasibility.
Provide user flow diagrams, customer journey maps, storyboards, sitemaps, and lo-fidelity wireframes and whiteboard/paper sketches.
Develop user empathy and advocate for the user, understanding the user’s behavior, attitudes, and emotions.
Lead ideation sessions/design studios, design walkthroughs with engineering and product management. Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Collaborate effectively with user researchers, visual designers, product management, product owners, engineering, and industrial designers; collaborates with technical writers to ensure content is user-friendly.
Work with user researcher to plan usability tests, card sorting, A/B testing, etc., develop success criteria, analyze results and provide recommendations.
Ensure consistent design patterns across HI products. Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:
Minimum BA/BS in Product Design, HCI/Cognitive Science, Psychology, or related field.
Minimum 3 years’ experience designing mobile apps (Android and iOS) in an agile, fast-paced and collaborative environment alongside engineering and product management.
Fluent in wireframing/prototyping tools (e.g. Axure, Invision, etc
Experience creating low-fidelty wireframes, sketches, and prototypes.
Familiarity with mobile technologies and their impact on feasibility of design solutions, familiarity.
Effective problem-solver, communicator, presenter, and negotiator. Ability to manage multiple and complex projects in a timely manner.
Proven track record in delivering delightful and easy-to-use products and services based on user needs, using research to validate design decisions.
Experience with the healthcare field, connected experiences, and medical devices a plus.
Strong online portfolio demonstrating user-centered design mobile app design, ability to provide links to app store/Google Play.
Equivalent combination of experience and/or education may be considered.
