Role: BI Lead Specialist
Work Location: Ann Arbor, MI

Summary:
This position will provide technical leadership to the business intelligence team and will be responsible for projects including business consulting, data architecture, BI self-service, traditional reference reporting, and data visualizations.
As a dynamic and effective BI leader, you will liaise with business across all domains to understand their growing analytic data needs and to develop a data strategy roadmap.
The ideal candidate will have proven hands on experience leading BI requirement sessions, expanding data infrastructure and successful business intelligence delivery for a large organization.
We are looking for a strong technical leader who can communicate with the all sides of our business.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrated experience leading Enterprise BI and/or Data initiatives.
Extensive background in data, self-service BI, and data integration including sourcing, acquisition, data quality, transformation, storing, and reporting.
Experience delivering BI solutions with a specific delivery methodology.
Experience developing and implementing a BI specific Quality Assurance methodology.
Experience leading the ongoing development and operations of a business intelligence architecture and making performance recommendations where appropriate.
Experience developing large BI initiatives with fact tables more than 3 billion rows.
Hands-on experience with BI methodology and technologies. Strong technical backend experience with MicroStrategy or other BI major platforms such as Power BI, Qlikview or Tableau.
Demonstrated ability to think/act strategically and influence key leaders and partners.
8+ years of related IT /Business Intelligence and analytics work experience including architecture design and deployment and systems lifecycle development management.
8+ years of leadership experience in managing cross functional teams and direct management of teams (functional and technical
Must have a proven track record of working with senior leadership (Director, VP, C-level) to determine analytics data requirements and implementing systems to warehouse and retrieve critical business information.
Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative and diverse environment.
8+ years of progressive experience in systems design and implementation within a large global company.
Big 4/Boutique BI consulting experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or Business Administration or related field.
Experience with implementing and supporting MicroStrategy 10.x, Power BI, or similar BI platforms.
Demonstrated experience and proficiency in project management. PMP Certification a plus.
Demonstrated experience delivering BI/DW solutions within an Agile construct.
Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong analytical skills with a high degree of detail.
Must demonstrate a proven track record of working closely with customers and collaboratively delivering solutions to meet business needs.
