* The Market Connectivity Core Services team provides Level 2 support for market connectivity applications and connectivity.
* Working with all lines of business, we are horizontally aligned, supporting many different connector platforms.
* We support connectivity to external venues such as Exchanges, Brokers and ECNs.
Job Description:
* This role would be dedicated to supporting venue provided trading Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) or referred to as Industry Standard Applications (ISAs
* As the team is built out you''ll be responsible for:
* Work with existing ITAO, Market Data and SL2 teams to centralize fragmented processes like NAR, packaging, user setup, etc
* Help close the inventory collection exercise to identify Industry Standard Applications used within the bank
* Perform Information Technology Application Owner (ITAO) functions for the ISAs and create NAR with trading capabilities
* Work with Electronic Trading Oversight Committee (ETOC) team to ensure all ISAs are ECRA and dbRace compliant before Jan 2017
* Document and refine the process of on boarding ISAs in the bank
* Identify and work with extended virtual team to help overcome language barriers
* Carrying out all ITIL functions for support of these applications
* Liaising with Program / Project Managers and other stakeholders (on-shore, near-shore and off-shore) as appropriate as the business / functional counterpart for solution identification or execution
Skill Summary:
* Excellent analytical reasoning and practical decision making, combined with an ability to communicate across a broad range of business functions and at all levels of the organisation.
* Experience in an application support role in a dynamic financial services environment, there is often a great deal of urgency associated with resolving incidents and candidates need to be able to prioritise proactively when resource conflicts arise.
* Clear, concise written and verbal communication
* Ability to understand business requirements and prioritization during outage situations
* Ability to effectively work with business users, developers and product managers
* Temperament to work under pressure in a fast moving production environment
* Knowledge of networking, particularly exchange connectivity
* Experience with dealing with exchanges / venues
* Ability to relate a technical issue to business impact
* Trading system knowledge down to order flow and order book level at a technical level is a desire
Graphic User Interface application support
* Knowledge of venue provided trading GUIs. As an example but not limited to BGC Trader, Tradeweb Client Viewer and Dealerweb.
