Role: Senior Enterprise Data Modeler with Teradata
Work Location: Atlanta, GA
Duration: 12 Months

Job Description:
Candidate will be responsible for modeling all databases.
Changes of databases should be approved by modeler before changes are made by the DBA.

Qualifications and Responsibilities in Agile:
Top 3 skills needed - data analysis, data modeling and data mining.
Soft skills needed - problem solving, team player, communication.

Basic Entry Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical field, with 3+ years applicable experience in IT or equivalent business IT experience.
Basic understanding of the complete software development life cycle.
Ability to analyze, plan and understand software development and translate into structured methods.
Ability to understand database design and modeling.
Strong data analysis skills.
This job is responsible for gathering and analyzing requirements from business users in order to create various types of models representing several levels of detail.
Identify and define processes and data, integrating it into an enterprise perspective with standardized representation.
Communicate model throughout the life cycle of a project, interface with business users and technology teams to build enterprise solutions.
The resource will handle a number of projects.
Gather requirements from business users by utilizing various methods (e.g., conducting interviews, JAD sessions and examining file layouts, use-cases, object diagrams, sample reports, and technical specs
Analyze requirements utilizing various methods (e.g., sample data from SQL queries and reports, prototype screens, sourcing information, and other data models
Transform the business requirements into business rules and validate with business users.
Create various types of models based on the requirements/business rules.
Conduct and participate in model reviews, ensuring that models accurately reflect the business rules and policies to satisfy the business requirements.
Integrate models and ensure definitions are consistent across the enterprise for shareability and reuseability.
Perform needed research for new/on-going requirements, data integration issues, and relationships among data elements.
Provide information needed to customers to perform data gap analysis.
Develop load specifications. Identify test cases/files. Partner with customers to perform data testing. Coordinate deployment plans.

Must have 3 years of experience in data mining, analyzing and modeling.
Must have modeling experience with Teradata. Also, must be experienced with Erwin as a modeling tool.
Must have modeling experience for other databases (Oracle, DB2, SQLServer, etc.
If they do not have Teradata they are not a fit! 50% of work will be done in Teradata.
